What does a VA do?

As a Virtual Assistant (VA), your job responsibilities MAY include but are not limited to:

  • Answering phone calls (Customer Service/Sales/General Inquiry)
  • E-mail management and chat support
  • Appointment scheduling and calendar management
  • Handling social media accounts
  • Travel arrangement and planning
  • Transcribing notes for client
  • Storing and organizing files
 

Medical Virtual Assistants (MVAs) also have the following main tasks:

  • Healthcare clerical work ie. Email/Phone/Chat support
  • Medical scribing
  • Insurance verification
  • Creating and sending referrals and orders
  • Process prescription refill requests
  • EMR/EHR data management
  • Patient appointment scheduling
 

But you don’t have to fret because we will not leave you high and dry. FREE training and certification will be provided for all successful applicants.

How It Works

APPLY

Submit your application and basic requirements, go through the screening process and background checking then wait for the result.

BE CERTIFIED

Upon successful application, you will be joining training and certification. Note that training schedule will be set based on US office hours.

WORK

Get hired by a US- or AU-based client after having your skills, experiences and goals matched with their business needs.

EARN

Earn above average! The opportunities are endless as you can have multiple clients, if possible!

Qualifications

  • At least 21 years old
  • Filipino citizen or naturalized Filipino citizen
  • Current permanent residence is the Philippines
  • Education level: At least 2nd year in college or equivalent
  • With great command of the English language
  • Typing speed: 60 wpm and above (expert/experienced specialized VAs with a typing speed of at least 55 wpm are welcome to apply)
  • Able to work nights and weekends, particularly during US office hours
  • Good work ethics
 

Professional background qualification:
ADMININSTRATIVE VAs:
At least one of the following:

  • Fresh graduate
  • 6 months of BPO/Call Center experience
  • Web development background or know-how
  • 6 months of experience with any Home-based work (experience in Sales, SEO, Real estate, US Legal office and/or being a Virtual Assistant is a plus!)
 

MEDICAL VAs:

  • A medical-related or allied health degree or certification

  • Undergrads with at least 2 years of any medical course education are also welcome especially if one has experience handling healthcare account/s in a BPO setting

  • For those with a non-medical course, you must have at least 2 years of experience handling BPO healthcare account/s.

  • Hospital or clinic experience is a plus

  • Those with experience in being a Virtual Assistant of any field as well as specialties such as Insurance Verification, Medical Billing, Medical Transcription, Medical Billing, are encouraged to apply and will be prioritized.

Requirements

  • Valid NBI Clearance
  • One (1) valid, government-issued ID
  • Proof of education
  • Proof of work experience/s
  • Internet: 20 mbps Fiber/20 mbps DSL or higher
  • HD 720p/1080p Webcam or better
  • Headset or Good pair of earphones with mic (noise-canceling, preferred)
  • Quiet work environment
  • Neutral background with good lighting
 

Minimum System Requirements:

  • Intel Core i5 6th Generation
  • Operating System: Windows 10 (64-bit) or macOS High Sierra
  • 6 GB RAM (or 4GB but with an upgradeable RAM and an owner who is willing to upgrade if needed)

Frequently Asked Questions

Is an NBI clearance needed upon application?
Yes, an NBI clearance is a must. In case your name has a”hit”, your application can be accepted if you have the NBI slip/receipt.
You will receive your pay every other week. Details will be discussed during On-boarding
100% yes. If you are looking for a full-time job and your client is only for part-time, you can definitely have another client to complete your full-time hours
Yes, given that it will fit your schedule and that you can still commit to giving 100% on the job.
Yes. Healthcare benefits, among others. This will be discussed further during On-boarding.
Here at VELP, we work together to becoming the best Virtual Professionals that we can be by cultivating our skills as well as learning new ones. Hence, each successful applicant undergoes training and certification. As we work hard to match you with a client that is most suitable to your skills and goals, we cannot provide a particular timeframe as to when you can land a client/s. However, the usual wait time is one day to six weeks after training. Other times, you can get hired while you are still in training or, if lucky, right on your first day!
Yes. Each VA is tracked and monitored using a tool which shows their log in/out time, break time and the applications and websites used. We also have a Talent Management Team who consistently monitors each hired VA.
100% yes. You are welcome to hire multiple VAs as you please. You just have to let us know the tasks they will be assigned as well as the skillset you are looking for so we can match you with a line-up of VAs that best fits your goals and needs.
Yes. All of them are HIPAA-certified and have also signed a non-disclosure agreement.

Velp Staffing Solutions has a very rigorous and unconventional process. As we strive to uphold quality within the team, the passing mark for each test is higher than normal and failure to pass one part of the exam will certainly affect your overall standing.

After each step of the hiring process, all applications go through another Quality Control screening. Background checking may also still be ongoing. Only the strongest candidates will be able to move forward.
